Palapa Ventures launches during the Indonesian Ministers' visit to Silicon Valley

On October 28th 2015, The Indonesian President Jokowi's was represented by 4 Cabinet Ministers at the Computer History Museum, Facebook, Google, Plug and Play, Apple, and a luncheon with prominent business leaders in Silicon Valley.

The 4 Ministers are Mr. Rudiantara, the Minister of Communications and Information; Mr. Thomas Lembong, the Minister of Trade; Mr. Franky Sibarani, Chairman of Indonesia Investment Coordination Board; and Mr. Triawan Munaf, the Head of Creative Economy Agency.

On this historic occasion, Mr. Edward Wanandi, Palapa Ventures's General Partner, launched the Indonesian-backed Venture Capital Firm in Silicon Valley. Palapa Ventures believes that it has a role to play in harnessing the effort and skill shown by many Indonesians, and Indonesian investors. We believe that Palapa can contribute accelerating the growth of knowledge and new technologies in Indonesia.

Being in Silicon Valley, Palapa is well-positioned to make available to Indonesia the latest and most innovative ideas and technologies. We believe that through our investments we will create broader access to the essence of the creative and technology industry: the intellectual properties and high-quality human capital.
